Custom: Tree of Life Cross & Holy Water Fountain Workshop (AHG)

Inspired by Mexican folk art, we will be given the instruction to design a hand coiled sculptural cross depicting the biblical Tree of Life in terra cotta clay. The motifs found in the garden of Eden and then later in Gethsemane are sculpted and juxtaposed to show the beauty and fecundity of embracing the cross. You will use both low and high relief  ceramic sculpting and embossing to build this beautiful terracotta cross int he first session. In session two, you will glaze your clay cross project. Price covers cost of instruction for 2 sessions of 2.5 hours, materials, and two firings. Finished work may be displayed indoor or outdoor after final firing.
